This group of workers are from LUTHERAN DISATER SERVICES, and they came all the way from Madison, Wisconsin. They were amazed at how little progress the area has made in almost a year

The group Cornerstone, put up this cross in front of Jackie and Winston's house.The wrote on it "IN MEMORY OF 8/29/05"

This is the junk from mine and Randall's house.
The church group returned our American Flag to it proper place. GOD BLESS AMERICA 

Piles of Debris

Here we have the debris from Jackie and Winston's house. Three church groups have shown up over the last few weeks to clean out and gut the house.
Winston said he is having a garage sale

This is all the stuff that came out of Jackie's and Winston's house. There is still more to come, ie: sheetrock, isulation, floors. It all piles up and the Parish hopes to be able to pay to have it picked up. Nine months, who would have thought.

MY UNCLE ART

This is my Uncle Art. He passed away March 8,2006. I have many aunts and uncles that i love dearly but Uncle Art was and always will be my favorite. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone and he always had a smile as large as life. I will miss him always and will think of him often. GOD SPEED UNCLE ART 

All the cement has been pouredand the landscaping should statr any day. YIPEE the end is in sight 

After Peach Bowl

This is Susan and me. It was to her house that we fled Katrina.Thank God for great friends!!!!
We all had a great time this night for LSU won!!!!  

St. Bernard Parish

This is St.Bernard Parish nine months later. Not much has been done.

 

We have made progress

We went to the new house and discovered work had been done.( IT DOES NOT HAPPEN TO OFTEN) The floors had been tiled and groted and a portion of the grantite countertops have gone in. WOO HOO we are movin' on!

 

NINE MONTHS LATER

It has been nine months since Hurricane Katrina, Do things look any better?
